Race information

The Orange Running Festival is owned and operated by the Orange Runners Club. The first Festival was held in 2007 and has grown to be one of the premier Festivals on the running calendar each year. The festival continues to be a big supporter of local charities and businesses and due to the Festivals success makes significant donations each year.

After a COVID affected 2021, we are presenting a new and exciting program of events for 2022.

Each race will start and finish within the Gosling Creek Reserve, which is located between Forest, Bloomfield and Bargwanna Roads, Orange (about 6km south of the Orange CBD and just to the south of the Orange Hospital). The following races are on offer in 2022:

Location Each race will start and finish within the Gosling Creek Reserve, corner of Forest Road and Bloomfield Road, Orange.

Parking Parking is available within the Bloomfield Reserve Dog Park.  Entry to the carpark is located at 78 Bloomfield Road

Registrations Open 1 October 2021
Registrations Close 4 or 5 March 2022 (4pm)
Suggested arrival time At least 30 minutes prior to start time
Bib Collection The Bib Collection Tent will be located at Gosling Creek Reserve
Open from 1:00PM to 6:00PM, Saturday 5 March 2022
and from 6:00AM, Sunday 6 March 2022
First Aid Provided by the NSW Rural Fire Service
Finishers Medals Every finisher will receive a Finishers Medal
Hydration Drink stations will be provided on course with water and sports drink options.
Clothing storage Yes
Animals No animals are allowed within the Gosling Creek Reserve.
Music Please don’t use ear pods – we need you to be able to hear important public announcements and instructions before and during the race.
Bikes etc Cycling, roller blading, skating, rope skipping and nordic pole walking are not permitted in any race.
Cut off times Yes – there is a cut off time for each race (refer to the specific race information for greater detail).
Toilets Adjacent to the start/finish line (and on course for the half marathon and marathon events).
Cancellation In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel the Festival due to COVID or extreme natural weather event, entrants will be advised by email, Facebook and website.
